If you have been anywhere around social media you have probably heard about the situation going on in Minnesota. Jimmy Butler, the star shooting guard for the Timberwolves requested a trade a couple of weeks ago. Weeks later, Butler is still on the team and decides to show up to a practice. Now, this might be one of the greatest stories about a practice since Kobe told Smush Parker he didn’t want to talk to him and that he was too sorry for an NBA team.

It all started when Jimmy showed up to a practice. Now the reason why this is weird is because no one on the team knew he was coming. He had been missing practice since he requested a trade. Butler had one of the best and craziest practices that people have heard about. He showed up and reportedly “took over.” He ran the Timberwolves up and down the court. He made a scrimmage happen and he took all of the third string players. He wanted to play him and all the backups versus the starters. Needless to say Butler tore up the court and destroyed the starters. At one-point Butler was guarding the Timberwolves’ center, Karl Anthony-Towns, who is arguably the best center in the NBA. When KAT got the ball in the post Jimmy yelled some explicit words that made KAT kick the ball out and not even attempt to score. At the end of this crazy practice Jimmy slammed the ball on the court and yelled, “You can’t win shit without me,” directed straight to the Wolves’’ general manager.

This whole situation ended with Butler holding a players-only meeting where he said his beef is between management and not the people on the team. With all this said KAT said that he will not sign a contract extension is Butler is still on the roster. So I guess we will have to wait and see if Butler gets traded. The NBA starts in five days and we already have this drama. If you aren’t excited for this season, then I don’t know what can get you excited. For all means, LeBron is a Laker if that helps any. But let’s see if Butler remains on the T-Wolves.
