14 Days of Mocking: #7 Chicago Bulls

The Bulls have one of the worst rosters in the NBA. Their best player is forward Lauri Markkanen, a rookie who is able to shoot from anywhere on the court and is often compared to Dirk Nowitzki and Kristaps Porzingis. Lauri and Kris Dunn are probably the only other two highlights of this team, which shows how desperate they are in need of a star. They do not have that go-to natural scorer, and that is a big deal. They only have Markkanen and he is the only real shooter. They also have pretty weak wings in Denzel Valentine and Jerami Grant, and neither of them are strong shooters.

With the 7thpick in the 2018 NBA Draft, the Chicago Bulls select…

Michael Porter Jr. MPJ is the purest scorer in this draft and has one of the biggest potentials out of anyone in this draft class. MPJ can shoot the three, pull up from mid-range and can get to the basket almost with ease. He was projected as a top 3 pick in this draft at the beginning of the college basketball season, yet he hurt his back and required surgery. However, Michael claims that his back is healthier than ever and that he is in great shape. This is hard to believe, since when he came back from surgery late in the season, he shot barely over 30 percent and averaged around 10 points a game. The risk with MJP? If his back injury is truly as big of a deal as it seems to be, he could be one of the biggest busts in this class.

Comparison: Gordon Hayward
