What is next for the Boston Celtics?

After losing to the Cleveland Cavaliers in game seven of the Eastern Conference Finals, The Celtics showed a lot of grit as they gave the Cavs all they could handle. In the end, Lebron proved too much as he once again reaches his eighth consecutive NBA Finals.

The expectations for the Celtics sort of diminished after the injury to Gordon Hayward on opening night and once more when Kyrie Irving’s season was ended after a knee procedure. What they were able to accomplish without their two best players was a remarkable feat and only bodes well for their future. But, there are questions. With the emergence of Terry Rozier and rookie sensation Jayson Tatum, what will happen once Irving and Heyward are back to 100%?

Well, for starters, barring any changes to the roster this off-season, Brad Stevens will have his deepest roster since taking on the role as Head Coach of the Celtics. This would provide Stevens the ability to pick and choose how he attacks teams by utilizing match-ups that features a roster full of versatility.

Next, I could see Danny Ainge orchestrating another trade to land either another player or future draft picks. With some stellar play from Rozier, Brown, and Smart this postseason, The Celtics will be garnering interest in potential trade packages centered around those players.

I’m interested to see what Boston looks like at full strength. Do you think they could potentially dethrone the Warriors?
