The Sixers currently in the best spot among anybody in the lottery. They have the number 10 overall pick and they have the most talent among any other team. With a young core around Ben Simmons, Joel Embiid, and Dario Saric. The Sixers made it to the second round of the playoffs and lost to the Celtics. It was one of the more fun series in the playoffs. Yet they got knocked out by Boston, it seemed as if their only problem was their lack of experience. So if I see any team in this lottery trading their pick, it is the Sixers.
The Sixers do not have many holes in their roster. One of the more obvious ones would be a secondary ball handler. I doubt they would draft a point guard at this spot, as the emergence of TJ McConnell has been huge, and the return of the number one pick in last year’s draft, Markelle Fultz. Another one of their holes would be their length on the perimeter. They are losing shooting guard Marco Belinelli to free agency and have another expiring contract in JJ Redick this off season. JJ has said that he loves it in Philly and would like to return, which means they will still need to get another two guard.
With the 10thoverall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, the Philadelphia 76ers select…
Mikal Bridges. Bridges is a tall shooting guard who has the build to guard any one at the point guard to small forward, and if he is able to put on weight, he will be able to guard the power forward as well. Bridges made a big name for himself this season as he showed off his elite shooting and top tier perimeter defense. Bridges will fit in perfectly with the Sixers as they need another defender on the outside and someone else who can space the floor.
